I have three amazing people in my life. My husband Paul and beautiful girls Harriet (16) and Cordelia (12). This picture was taken in 2009 in Cornwall.

Eden

I first went to Eden in 2009 on our first family holiday to Cornwall. It was amazing. The imagination and creativity made me want to go back for more! To create something so beautiful from an unused quarry and also make it eco friendly too is true brilliance.

As you enter the project little do you know just how big it is and how the atmosphere feels like your on another world. There are areas reflecting planting from around the world with plants that would barely survive a day in my garden at home. Being in Cornwall the Eden Project is in a  climate that is warmer than Manchester to begin with and being in a quarry it's also sheltered from the elements.

Not only is there plants but objects relating to the places the plants are from giving you information of how and why they are grown. Links to fairtrade and recycling also play a major role within the project.

It's an amazing place to take the family. There are lots to do for the children during the school holidays. From making boats out of empty water bottles and lolly pop sticks to making tents out of scraps of material and wooden poles. There are places to sit with a picnic or even eat out. The food is fantastic and well worth the money.
